Mary Pilch

Spa Director

Mary joined Aura Spa & Salon as Spa Director in December 2010. She received her BA in Public Communication / Psychology from American University in Washington, DC. Mary began her career in the spa industry with WTS International, a leisure consulting and management firm for hotels and resorts. With a primary focus on spa management, Mary has worked with Kimpton Hotels, Ritz Carlton, Hilton and The Spa at Trump - among others. Mary was also an Inaugural Board Member of the Washington Spa Alliance.

Mia Woodson

Spa Supervisor & Master Hair Stylist

With over 10 years of experience, Mia has worked for some of the top salons in Richmond. She takes pride in staying educated on the current trends and promotes healthy hair with all of her clients. Mia specializes and is certified in Coppola Keratin Smoothing Treatments, highlighting, straightening, color and styling for all hair types and all occasions..

Carrie Kinnear

Massage Therapist

Carrie has been a massage therapist for 5 years. She graduated from Fortis College in Virginia Beach, VA. She loves massage because, as cheesy as it may sound, she loves helping people feel better. Her favorite massage is the Aura Signature Massage because it really allows her to focus on her client customizing the experience based on the guest’s needs.

Diane Vaught

Master Esthetician

Diane graduated from the Institute of Advance Medical Esthetics in 2007 as a Master Esthetician, but has a combined 20 years of experience in the skincare industry. Her goal, when working with her clients, is to ensure they experience the serenity and indulgence of a truly pampering treatment while benefiting from the specialized products customized for their unique needs.

Emily Gittings

Massage Therapist

Emily has been a certified massage therapist since 2003. She is also certified in Eden Energy Medicine, a modality which empowers people to become more responsible for their own health by clearing blocked and stagnant energy and balancing the different energy systems of the body. Emily has also studied acupressure massage (Jin Shin Do), medical massage, and Indian Head Massage. Her favorite service is the 90 minute therapeutic massage simply because most people don’t realize how tense they truly are.

Hilary Rinsland

Massage Therapist

Hilary has always had a passion to help people heal making massage therapy a natural fit. She uses trigger point therapy to eliminate the roots of chronic aching muscles and adds stretching to increase the efficiency of the massage. Hilary firmly believes that our bodies have the ability to heal themselves and is happy to help others on their journey to wellness.

Jose Luis

Master Hair Stylist

Jose Luis is an expert hair colorist and master stylist with over 18 years of experience. He has trained with some of the top educators in the beauty industry in Paris, New York, Miami and Puerto Rico and was the winner of the "Beauty is As Beauty Does Contest" as well as a finalist of the "Style Star Global Hair Contest." Jose Luis has worked with celebrities in Puerto Rico and has performed as a hair stylist at international hair shows, New York Fashion Week and Miss Universe Beauty Pageant. He specializes in dimensional color, haircuts and styling for all hair types and occasions.

Lori Erickson

Nail Technician

Lori attended Richmond Technical Center where she received her Nail Technician license in 2001. Lori specializes in natural nails, shellac and gel polish because she believes in keeping it real!

She is licensed by the Board of Cosmetology as Nail Technician and certified to practice massage nationally and by the Virginia Department of Health Professions. Whether you experience the forte of her basalt hot stone massage, manicure or pedicure, you'll receive her attentive and nurturing touch leaving you with a sense of calmness and renewal.
